I am Kanka Adhikary, the author behind this blog and a proud second-generation small tea grower from the lush and vibrant Dooars tea-growing region in India — a place renowned for producing some of the finest Dooars CTC teas in the world.
Our family owns a small tea garden in the Dooars. I grew up learning how tea is planted, cared for, and processed. As a second-generation tea grower, I’ve seen how much hard work and love goes into growing good quality tea.
